Abstract:
Employees may file complaints with the OSHA for investigation alleging that their employer violated "whistleblower" protection provisions contained in certain statutes and regulations for which the Agency has investigatory responsibility. These whistleblower provisions prohibit retaliatory action by employers against employees who report alleged violations of certain laws or regulations or otherwise engage in protected activities specified by the whistleblower provisions.

OSHA is requesting a total adjustment increase in burden hours of 7,171 (from 10,216 to 17,387). The requested adjustment increase is due to an increase in the agency’s estimate of complaints received. The proposed form revisions (program changes) are changes and technical updates that will improve the quality of the customer service the agency can offer the public.
