| Title: ●Establishment of Quotas Required by Controlled Substances Act | |
| Abstract: Pursuant to Executive Order 13563, DEA is conducting a comprehensive review of its quota regulations under the Controlled Substances Act. The quotas are intended to control the available quantities of the basic ingredients needed for the manufacture of certain substances to reduce the risk of diversion while ensuring sufficient availability to satisfy the legitimate needs of the United States. DEA will review all quota regulations and explore strategies to streamline the quota system to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness. | |
