FDA also solicited comments on various other issues related to health claims and on the appropriateness and nature of dietary guidance statements on conventional food and dietary supplement labels. This ANPRM was signaled in the July 11, 2003 (68 FR 41387) notice that announced the availability of the final report of the FDA Task Force on the Consumer Health Information for Better Nutrition Initiative. Comments on the regulatory alternatives and additional topics identified in the ANPRM will inform FDA decisions about regulation of qualified health claims.
