Title: Revised Medical Criteria for Musculoskeletal Disorders (3318P) 
Abstract: Sections 1.00 and 101.00 of appendix 1 to part 404, subpart P of our regulations describe those musculoskeletal impairments that are considered severe enough to prevent a person from doing any gainful activity, or in the case of a child claiming Supplemental Security Income payments under title XVI, that cause marked and severe functional limitations. We are proposing to revise the criteria in these sections to reflect advances in medical knowledge, treatment, and methods of evaluating musculoskeletal impairments.
