Title: ●Land Withdrawals--Removal of Regulations Covering Emergency Withdrawals
Abstract: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes to remove the regulations that provide for an emergency withdrawal when a supporting determination is made either by the Secretary, or by one of two Congressional committees specified in section 204(e) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act. This rule will provide BLM more flexibility in making decisions relating to withdrawing public lands from the operation of the mining laws.
