Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Withdrawal of Proposed Rule To Delist the Mexican Bobcat (Lynx Rufus Escuinapae) From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife
Abstract: We received a petition to delist the Mexican bobcat (Lynx rufus escuinapae), listed as endangered. We determined as a result of our status review and our review of the best available scientific information that the species does not meet the definitions of endangered or threatened in the Endangered Species Act (i.e., that delisting is warranted), so we proposed to delist it. Subsequent to the proposed rule, we received comments and additional information that conflict with information given significant weight in the proposed rule.
