Title: Negotiation of Annual Funding Agreements With Tribes (Manual Chapter)
Abstract: This Service manual chapter (512 FW 5) establishes policy that refuge and hatchery managers (project leaders) and other Fish and Wildlife Service employees will apply when reviewing and responding to a request from a self-governance Indian tribe or consortium of tribes to negotiate an annual funding agreement (AFA) under the provisions of title IV of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. This chapter also provides general guidance that a project leader should consider when reviewing a request for an AFA.
