Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; 12-Month Finding on a Petition To List Four Penguin Species as Endangered and Threatened 
Abstract: We are announcing a 12-month finding on a petition to list four species of penguins as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. Those four species of penguins are: Emperor penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri), southern rockhopper penguin (Eudyptes chrysocome), northern rockhopper penguin (Eudyptes moseleyi (E. chrysocome moseleyi)), and macaroni penguin (Eudyptes chrysolophus). We received a petition from the public to list 12 penguin species. The petition did not contain substantial information on snares crested penguin (Eudyptes robustus) and royal penguin (Eudyptes schlegeli). (We are reviewing the other species in 1018-AV60 and 1018-AW40.)
