Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Adding and Updating Marine Taxa on the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife
Abstract: We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, are adding the Puget Sound distinct population segment (DPS) of the steelhead to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in accordance with the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. We are also reclassifying the Upper Columbia River DPS of steelhead, from endangered to threatened. These amendments are based on previously published determinations by the National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce, which has jurisdiction for these species.
