Title: Impact Aid Programs 
Abstract: The Secretary amends the regulations governing the Impact Aid program under title VIII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The program, in general, provides assistance for maintenance and operations costs to local educational agencies that are affected by Federal activities. These regulations are necessary to clarify and improve the administration of payments under section 8002 of the statute relating to the Federal acquisition of real property.
