Title: Standards of Performance for Coal Preparation Plants--Amendments 
Abstract: EPA entered into a consent decree to propose amendments the coal preparation (subpart Y) new source performance standard (NSPS) by April 16, 2008. The consent decree date for final action is April 16, 2009. Subpart Y was last reviewed in 1989. EPA anticipates that the review will result in a tightening of the particulate emissions standard to reflect the performance of current control technologies and updated monitoring requirements. In addition, EPA anticipates setting work practice standards to control fugitive PM emissions.
