Title: Public Transportation Security Grants--SAFETEA-LU
Abstract: This rulemaking would amend 49 CFR part 601 to add a new subpart 601 E. The new subpart 601 E would cross-reference DHS´ rulemaking that establishes regulations to establish the characteristics of and requirements for public transportation security grants. This rulemaking is nonsignificant and informational because it simply would amend 49 CFR part 601 to cross-reference DHS´ administrative procedures for awarding $150 million in public transportation security grants, as mandated by section 3028(c) of SAFETEA-LU .
