HUD/FHEO RIN: 2529-AA93 Publication ID: Fall 2008
Title: Reconsideration of No Reasonable Cause Determinations (FR-5174)
Abstract: This reconsideration rule would allow the public to request a reconsideration of no reasonable cause determinations in Fair Housing Act complaints. This rule would require HUD to provide written notice to all parties to complaints that HUD has dismissed with a no reasonable cause determination advising them of the right of aggrieved persons to request reconsideration and the procedures they must follow to do so. The rule would also set timeframes for response by the non-requesting party and issuance of a decision by HUD.
