Title: Provision of Hospital Care and Medical Services During Certain Disasters or Emergencies | |
Abstract: This document proposes to amend the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical regulations concerning medical services, domiciliary and nursing home care. On November 7, 2002, the President signed into law the Department of Veterans Affairs Emergency Preparedness Act of 2002. Section 1785 authorized the Secretary Department of Veterans Affairs to provide hospital care and medical services to individuals impacted during and immediately following a disaster or emergency authorized under 38 U.S.C. 1785. | |
