Title: Keeping and Production of Required Books and Records 
Abstract: Since the Commission last revised Regulation 1.31 in 1999, there have been advances in electronic media and storage technology and the industry's use of same. The Commission is considering whether revisions to Regulation 1.31 are necessary regarding the retention of new electronic media (e.g., instant messages). The Commission is also considering requiring a uniform format for electronic storage media to be made available to the Commission upon request.
