Title: ●Portfolio Margining Issues  
Abstract: The Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 (the "Farm Bill"), enacted June 18, 2008, requires the SEC, the Commission, “or both, as appropriate” to take action by September 30, 2009, to permit risk-based portfolio margining for security options and security futures products. The Commission will consult with the SEC on these issues and may publish notice of proposed and/or final actions relating to these issues in the Federal Register.
