Title: Fireworks Devices 
Abstract: The staff prepared a draft advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) concerning fireworks devices requesting comments on whether there is a need for the agency to update and strengthen its regulation of fireworks devices and sent it to the Commission for consideration on June 26, 2006. On June 30, 2006, the Commission voted 3-0 to issue an advance notice of proposed rulemaking. The ANPRM was issued on July 12, 2006. The comment period on the ANPRM closed on September 11, 2006. Commission staff is considering the impact of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 on this rulemaking activity.
