Title: ●Labelling Requirement for Toy and Games Advertisements
Abstract: Section 105 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), Public Law 110-314, 122 Stat. 3016 (August 14, 2008), requires the Commission to promulgate a rule regarding advertising for certain toys and games which provide a direct means of purchase or order of the product. The CPSIA directs the Commission to promulgate the rule by November 12, 2008. On October 6, 2008, the Commission issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) pertaining to advertising for certain toys and games which provide a direct means of purchase or order of the product. Commission staff reviewed the comments received in response to the NPRM and developed a briefing package for the final rule, which was sent to the Commission October 30, 2008.
