Title: Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs and Activities; Effectuation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 | |
Abstract: This proposed rule would implement title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (Pub. L. 100-259, 102 Stat. 28). It replaces existing regulations that implement title VI for both the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities (45 CFR 1140) and applies to the National Endowment for the Arts only. A draft rule is pending Department of Justice review. | |
