| Abstract: The U.S. Office of Personnel Management is issuing proposed regulations to revise the rules concerning payments during evacuation. We are making clarifications based on inquiries we received in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, we propose a transportation allowance in the absence of a privately owned vehicle at the safe haven location. The regulations have also been rewritten and reordered to enhance reader understanding. | |
