Title: Taking Marine Mammals Incidental to Construction of the Knik Arm Bridge, Anchorage, Alaska
Abstract: The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has received a request from the Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority for an authorization to take marine mammals, by harassment, incidental to construction of the Knik Arm Bridge in Alaska during the period 2007 through 2012. In order to issue regulations and authorize the take, NMFS must determine that the taking will have a negligible impact on the affected species and stocks of marine mammals, will not have an unmitigable adverse impact on subsistence uses of marine mammals and will be at the lowest level practicable.
