Abstract: In March 2008, the U.S. Navy applied for a Letter of Authorization to take marine mammals incidental to major training activities (including mid-frequency sonar) conducted at the Navy's Southern California Range Complex (SOCAL). NMFS is a cooperating agency on the EIS (DEIS published April 4, 2008) and plans to adopt the Navys EIS to support the MMPA authorization. | |
