Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Delisting the Morelets Crocodile
Abstract: We received a petition to remove the endangered Morelets crocodile (Crocodylus moreletii) from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife. We have determined that the petitioner presented substantial scientific and commercial information indicating that the action may be warranted. We must now determine whether a status review shows that the removal, as petitioned, is warranted under the Act. The Morelets crocodile is a freshwater crocodilian species native to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.
