Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassification of Smith’s Blue Butterfly From Endangered To Threatened
Abstract: We are reclassifying the Smith’s blue butterfly from endangered to threatened. This action is based on the results of the species’ 5-year review, which showed that the occupied range is larger than was known at the time of listing, and numerous new occupied sites have been found throughout the southern portion of its range. The northern portion of its range continues to be threatened by urban development activities.
