Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Court-Ordered Reinstatement of Protections for the Northern Rocky Mountain Distinct Population Segment of the Gray Wolf | |
Abstract: The Federal District Court in Montana has reinstated the rules that were in effect prior to the effective date of a March 27, 2008, final rule delisting the gray wolf in the northern Rocky Mountains. The reinstated regulations provide that wolves in the northern half of Montana, northern panhandle of Idaho, eastern third of Washington and Oregon, and in north-central Utah are listed as endangered, and wolves in the remainder of Montana and Idaho and all of Wyoming are designated as a nonessential experimental population. | |
