Title: ●Taxonomic Change for Brachylophus Species (Iguana Species Native to Fiji) on the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife
Abstract: We are making a taxonomic change to the listing of Brachylophus species (iguana species native to Fiji) on the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife. In 1980, we listed as endangered the Fiji banded iguana (Brachylophus fasciatus) and the Fiji created iguana (Brachylophus vitiensis) (45 FR 18009, March 20, 1980). Because of recent taxonomic revision of Brachylophus, the two species have been classified as three distinct species. This rule will add the newly described Fijian iguana (Brachylophus bulabula) as endangered to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife. All three species of iguana are endemic to the islands of Fiji.
