Overall Description of Deadline: The Dominican Republic-Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, PL 109-53, 119 Stat. 462 (19 U.S.C. 4001 note), August 2, 2005, requires that initial regulations shall, to the maximum extent feasible, be issued within 1 year after the date of entry into force of the CAFTA-DR for each country (Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua). The CAFTA-DR entered into force for the first country, El Salvador, on March 1, 2007.
