Title: Changes to the Visa Waiver Program To Implement the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) Program
Abstract: On June 9, 2008, CBP published an interim final rule implementing the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) for aliens who travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) at air or sea ports of entry. Under the rule, VWP travelers provide certain biographical information to CBP electronically before departing for the United States, allowing CBP to indentify persons of potentialk interest before they depart for the United States. This final rule will address the public comments received from the interim final rule and finalize the requirements.
