| Title: Security Threat Assessments of Certain Transportation Personnel | |
| Abstract: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will propose new regulations to conduct security threat assessments on transportation workers, including certain aviation workers and all frontline employees for public transportation agencies, railroads, and over-the-road buses in accordance with the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007. TSA will also propose user fees to cover the cost of the security threat assessments and redress. Under the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007, the regulation must include limitations on how employers may use the information, prohibitions on making false statements about requirements, and a redress process. | |
