Title: Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program | |
Abstract: FEMA would update existing guidance on grants made directly to fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service (EMS) organizations of a State. The purpose of the grants is to enhance these organizationsÂ’ ability to protect both the health and safety of the public and that of firefighting personnel facing fire and fire-related hazards. Grants are also made to eligible organizations and fire departments for the purpose of fire prevention and firefighter safety research activities. | |
