Title: Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Incentive Program | |
Abstract: This rulemaking will implement the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Incentive Program authorized by section 136 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, as amended. Section 136 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 provides for loans and grants to automotive manufacturers and component suppliers for costs associated with the re-equipping, expanding, and establishing of manufacturing facilities in the Untied States to produce advanced technology vehicles and qualifying components that provide improvements in fuel economy performance beyond certain specified levels and engineering integration performed in the United States for such vehicles and components. | |
