Title: Tenant-Based Rental Assistance; Revisions to the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) (FR-5201)
Abstract: This proposed rule would streamline and revise the regulations for the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). SEMAP establishes the standards and procedures for HUD to measure PHA performance in administering the tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher Program. Through the Housing Choice Voucher Program, HUD pays rental assistance or homeownership assistance for eligible families who lease or purchase housing in the local housing market.
