Title: Accrued Benefits, Death Compensation, and Special Rules Applicable Upon Death of a Beneficiary | |
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is amending its regulations relating to accrued benefits, death compensation, and certain special rules applicable upon the death of a VA beneficiary and to relocate them in a new part of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). We are reorganizing these regulations in a more logical order, add new section and paragraph headings, rewrite certain sections, divide certain sections into two or more separate new regulations, and add changes required by relevant court decisions and by the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. | |
