Title: Payment for Non-VA Physician and Other Health Care Professional Services Associated With Outpatient and Inpatient Care Provided at Non-VA Facilities
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is proposing to amend its regulations concerning payment for non-VA physician and other health care professional services provided to eligible veterans at non-VA facilities. VA proposes to standardize payment methodologies used by VA for non-VA care. This rule revises the regulation to align VA payment methods for outpatient and inpatient professional services with those used throughout the health care industry. This revision will not change payment for services in Alaska as currently regulated.
