Title: Enforcement of Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Handicap in Programs or Activities Conducted by ACTION
Abstract: When the Corporation for National and Community Service, created under the National and Community Service Act of 1990, as amended, took control of the programs run by its predecessor, the ACTION Agency, in April 1994, the ACTION Agency ceased to exist. Therefore, 45 CFR parts 1203, 1214, and 1232, which cover the enforcement of nondiscrimination on the basis of handicap in programs or activities conducted by ACTION, are outdated and will be superceded by 45 CFR chapter XXV. Clarification: Enforcement of Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Handicap in Programs or Activities Conducted by ACTION is 45 CFR 1214; Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Handicap in Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance is 45 CFR 1232; and Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs--Effectuation of title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is 45 CFR 1203.
