Title: FAR Case 2008-006, Enhanced Competition for Task and Delivery Order Contracts--Section 843 of the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Authorization Act 
Abstract: The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council (Councils) have agreed on an interim rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Authorization Act, section 843 "Enhanced Competition for Task and Delivery Order Contracts" (FY08 NDAA) requirements as an interim rule. Section 843 of the FY08 NDAA stipulates several requirements regarding enhancing competition within Federal contracting. This is not a significant regulatory action and, therefore, was not subject to review under section 6(b) of Executive Order 12866 "Regulatory Planning and Review," dated September 30, 1993. This rule is not a major rule under 5 U.S.C. 804.
