Abstract: This rulemaking would amend the digital flight data recorder (DFDR) regulations by prohibiting certain types of signal filtering for a set of specified recorded parameters. This rulemaking is based on recommendations issued by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The rulemaking is intended to improve the accuracy and quality of the data recorded on DFDRs and used during accident and incident investigations. | |
