Title: Notification, Documentation, and Recordkeeping Requirements for Inspected Establishments | |
Abstract: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing to require establishments subject to inspection under the Federal Meat Inspection Act and the Poultry Products Inspection Act to promptly notify the Secretary of Agriculture that an adulterated or misbranded product received by or originating from the establishment has entered into commerce, if the establishment believes or has reason to believe that this has happened. FSIS is also proposing to require these establishments to: (1) Prepare and maintain current procedures for the recall of all products produced and shipped by the establishment; and (2) document each reassessment of the process control plans of the establishment. | |
