Title: ●Expansion of Enrollment in the VA Health Care System
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposed to amend its medical regulations regarding enrollment in the VA health care system. This amendment would amend VA's enrollment priority category 8 to provide that beginning on the effective date of the rule, VA would begin enrolling priority category 8 veterans whose income exceeds the current means test and geographic means test income thresholds by 15 percent or less. This rule also is intended to enable the Secretary to continue to expand VA health care enrollments for certain priority category 8 veterans by announcing future increased income thresholds for priority group 8 veterans in Federal Register notices.
