Title: Market Access Program (MAP) | |
Abstract: The MAP forms a partnership between nonprofit U.S. agricultural trade organizations, nonprofit State Regional Trade Groups (SRTGs), nonprofit U.S. agricultural cooperatives, or a State agency, and USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) to share the costs of overseas marketing and promotional activities such as consumer promotions, market research, trade shows, and trade servicing. The final rule is proposed to revise and amend the USDA CCC's MAP regulations (7 CFR 1485). These revisions are intended to improve the programs effectiveness and efficiency; revise outdated language, including incorporating the organizational changes resulting from FAS' recent reorganization; and provide detailed clarifications to such topics as application requirements, participant eligibility, the review/allocation/compliance processes, reimbursement rules, and contracting and risk management procedures. | |
