Title: Protection of Stratospheric Ozone: Labeling of Products Using HCFCs
Abstract: In accordance with section 611 of the Clean Air Act, this action would require a warning statement on containers or products made with or containing a Class II ozone depleting substance (ODS). EPA promulgated a similar rule in 1993 for containers or products made with or containing Class I ODS. Such rules may help consumers and others make more informed choices about using products which damage the stratospheric ozone layer, resulting in increased skin damage and cancers.
