Title: TSCA Section 8(a) Preliminary Assessment Information Rules | |
Abstract: These rules add chemicals to the list of chemicals and designated mixtures subject to the requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act section 8(a) Preliminary Assessment Information Rule (40 CFR part 712). These chemicals have been identified by the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, other EPA offices, and other Federal agencies, as well as recommended for testing consideration by the Interagency Testing Committee. Manufacturers and importers are required to submit exposure-related data (EPA Form No. 7710-35) on the chemicals. The data will be used to monitor the levels of production, import and/or processing of the identified substances and the avenues of human and environmental exposure to these substances.
