Title: ●Common Crop Insurance Regulations; Processing Chili Peppers Crop Insurance Provisions
Abstract: This proposed rule will solicit public comments on FCIC's proposal to convert the Processing Chile Pepper pilot insurance program to a permanent crop insurance program. The Processing Chile Pepper pilot program began with the 2000 crop year and offered crop insurance coverage to chile pepper producers in selected counties in the states of Arizona and New Mexico. In 2004, FCIC contracted for an independent evaluation of the Processing Chile Pepper pilot. Pursuant to the recommendations of this report, FCIC's Board of Directors approved conversion of the pilot program to a permanent program.
