Title: Grassland Reserve Program
Abstract: Healthy grasslands protect soil quality, prevent soil erosion, provide sustainable forage for livestock, provide forage and cover for wildlife, improve water quality, and sequester carbon. The Grasslands Reserve Program (GRP) is a voluntary program that assists landowners and agricultural operations in restoring and protecting eligible grassland, land that contains forbs, or shrublands for which grazing is the predominant use. GRP accomplishes this through rental contracts and easements.
