Title: National Organic Program, Amendments to the National List, Sunset 2012 (NOP-09-0074) | |
Abstract: As required by the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 (OFPA), the allowed used or prohibition of 232 synthetic substances in organic production and handling will expire on June 21, 2012. The Agricultural Marketing Service will develop a proposed rule after the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) has completed its review of all National List substances due to sunset in 2010. The NOSB is expected to complete that review at its spring meeting in April 2011. | |
