Title: New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) Review for Petroleum Refineries (Subpart J)--Response to Reconsideration--Other Issues | |
Abstract: This action will be subsumed into SAN 5532. On June 24, 2008, EPA promulgated amendments to the Standards of Performance for Petroleum Refineries and new standards for process units constructed, reconstructed, or modified after May 14, 2007. EPA received three petitions for reconsideration of the final rule. On September 26, 2008, EPA granted reconsideration and issued a stay for the issues raised in the petitions regarding process heaters and flares. EPA also proposed various technical corrections in that action that were raised in the petitions for reconsideration. At that tme, EPA also agreed to reconsider other issues in future notices. Under this action, EPA will address the other issues raised by Petitioners. | |
