Title: ●Vet Center Services
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs proposed to amend its medical regulations to implement sections 401 and 402 of the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2010, Public Law 111-163. Section 401(c) makes certain current members of the Armed Forces who served on active duty in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom eligible for the readjustment counseling that VA currently provides to veterans under 38 U.S.C. 1721A. In addition, the proposed amendment would authorize Vet Centers to provide referral and advice to individuals who are discharged under dishonorable conditions, in accordance with section 402 of the Act.
