| Title: ●Amendment 17 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan | |
| Abstract: This action would implement Amendment 17 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan by relieving state fishery management agencies operating NOAA-sponsored permit banks from the current requirement to either form or join an approved groundfish sector in order to transfer groundfish annual catch entitlement to other sectors. This is an administrative change that only affects the procedures such NOAA-sponsored, state-operated permit banks must follow in order to operate. This action would reduce the administrative complexities for states operating NOAA-sponsored permit banks, and promote the effective and efficient operation of such permit banks. | |
