Abstract: This rule implements recommendations from the May 27, 2010, report from DOI to the President, "Increased Safety Measures for Energy Development on the Outer Continental Shelf." This report was developed as a result of the Deepwater Horizon incident. The report includes a series of recommendations designed to make drilling on the OCS safer and decrease the likelihood of another incident like this occurring. | |
