Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Delisting the Morelet's Crocodile
Abstract: We received a petition to remove the endangered Morelet's crocodile (Crocodylus moreletii) from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife. The petitioner presented substantial scientific and commercial information indicating that the action may be warranted. We have determined that the Morelet's crocodile is no longer endangered or threatened throughout all of its range. Concurrent with the 12-month finding, we published a proposed rule to delist the species, which occurs in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.
